THE CAREY VAULT

Marguerite Tupper, the widow of Isaac Carey (H9), had the vault constructed in the Candie Cemetry, Guernsey about the year 1835.
Under a Trust Deed, she made over her surviving sons as Trustees and requested them to bury her in the Vault and to transport the remains of her husband there. She desired that the Vault should be used for the burial of all the descendants of Isaac Carey, their husbands and wives up to the third generation.
