Educated at Goderich and at Kingston University, Canada
studying Civil Engineering.
After the outbreak of the Great War, he enlisted on 2 Nov 1915 in the
46th Battery, Canadian Field Artillery; served in France at the Somme,
Vimy, Hill 60, Paschaendale and Cambrai.
Was commissioned July 1918 and joined 60th Battery, C.F.A., and after
peace was declared, served in the Army of Occupation until Feb 1919.
Medals: Military Medal at the Battle of
the Somme.
