| Educated at Dover College, and at Royal Military College, Sandhurst; gazetted 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, 1893; Lieutenant 1896; Captain 1900; Adjutant 1904-5. He saw service in the Tirah Expedition 1897-8, medal with 2 clasps; and in the South African War 1899-1902, medal and 3 clasps. He was drowned at Ramleh, Egypt, in a gallant attempt to save the life of a brother officer, with whom he was bathing. | ||||||||||||||
