In Memorium note published in the Brixham Western Guardian following AFC's death on May 6th, 1900. It states his second wife was the widow Mrs Caroline Emma Gaches nee Dennis. ( widow of Mr John Gaches and daughter of Mr C. Dennis of Cambridge). They married in 1890 following Mrs Harriet Carey's death on June 3rd, 1886. AFC was buried on May 9th. The funeral cortege was a mile long.
