Notes for Judith Careye
In her will dated Mar 1697, Judith left various sums of money and wheat rentes among her brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces. To her grand-niece, Jeane, granddaughter of her late brother, Pierre - 'my black satin dress and my red satin shawl', to her nephew Pierre (B35) - £1000 trs and her large silver cup with St Nicholas engraved at the foot, and six silver tea-spoons, also her large beer-cup.
She made her brother in law, Thomas de Sausmarez, her executor.
