| Notes for Thomas (Spouse 1) |
Succeeded to the Fiefs of Blanchelande and Mauxmarquis on the death of his brother in 1631, Nicholas V (B9) and
inherited the Moulin d'Hyvreuse.
In his new role, on Sep 4, 1631 he ordered that Dame Jeanne de Beauvoir together with Jean Painter and Jean Blanche should pull down the hedges they had planted and destroy the enclosures around his mill, as they impeded the freedom of exercise of the drills which were accustomed to be held there. Appointed Supervisor on Jan 21,1633.
On Oct 27, 1653, Thomas together with James le Marchant and others were accused of having spoken defamatory against Jean Bonamy, having called him in court ' judged to be false and wicked'. The states proposed that each party nominate twelve other individuals to adjudicate the matter but this action was quashed as this would prove to be antagonistic with the justice normally given by the Bailiff and appointed Jurats of the island. |
