Duke of Edinburgh 1868-71; on service in Persian Gulf 1876-80; mentioned for capture of slave dhows;in various ships; Lieutenant on vessel 'Cambridge' at Devonport, Devon, England 1881 and finally in H.M.S. Indus at Devonport, where he died suddenly in 1889.
