| Educated at Elizabeth College 1861-9; College No. 1390; studied medicine at Guy's Hospital 1869; M.R.C.S, Eng., 1875; Districy Surgeon in Ceylon under the Medical Aid Ordinance; served successively in Rangalla, Hantane and Nilambe Districts; retired in 1884. Accepted an appointment under Hicks Pasha 1883, but did not join that ill-fated expedition to the Soudan; in private practice in Shropshire; resided for several years on the Continent and at the Cape of Good Hope. |
